Plymouth Meeting

Plymouth Meeting

Friendly community near shops, restaurants, and main roads.

Welcome to Plymouth Meeting

Plymouth Meeting is a friendly Montgomery County community within close proximity to shops, restaurants, and several main roads. Interstates 276 and 476 intersect in the center of Plymouth Meeting, and Philadelphia’s Central City is around 16 miles to the community’s southeast. This historic community takes its name from the Plymouth Friends Meetinghouse, a Quaker place of worship built in 1708.

IKEA’s United States headquarters are located within the community, and many young families are attracted to the area for its award-winning Colonial School District. Plymouth Meeting’s eclectic real estate includes properties from the early 1800s, midcentury Colonials, contemporary single-family homes, and condominiums.

Plymouth Meeting Mall has over 950,000 square feet of restaurants and retail space. Businesses and attractions at this large shopping mall include a Whole Foods Market, Boscov’s department store, an AMC movie theater, and Legoland Discovery Center Philadelphia. Dining options include steaks and seafood at Redstone American Grill, a family-friendly Dave & Buster’s restaurant and sports bar, and creative Chinese dishes at P.F. Chang’s.

Arugula Ristorante at Cold Point Village is a stylish Italian restaurant offering authentic cuisine from the Amalfi Coast. Bryn + Dane’s on Plymouth Road is a hip spot serving health-conscious smoothies, salads, cold bowls, and wraps.

To Plymouth Meeting’s southwest, the community of Conshohocken has many more dining hotspots. Standouts of the Conshy dining scene include seasonally driven American dishes paired with local craft beers and global wines at The StoneRose Restaurant, laidback Mexican taqueria El Limon, and fantastic authentic Italian restaurants such as Trattoria Totaro and Bar Lucca.

Plymouth Township Community Center organizes frequent seasonal events throughout the year. During the warmer months, Maple Acres Farm has a market offering fresh dairy, produce, and flowers. Visitors can also pick their own seasonal fruits and flowers or partake in the popular Easter egg hunt.

Another annual highlight is the lively Saint Patrick’s Day Parade and festivities in neighboring Conshohocken. Conshohocken also hosts a parade for the 4th of July with live entertainment and celebrations culminating in a grand fireworks display at Sutcliffe Park. Plymouth Meeting’s well-regarded Colonial Public School District includes five elementary schools, Colonial Middle School, and Plymouth-Whitemarsh Senior High School.
